In response to heightened fire risks across Colorado, the City of Woodland Park has enacted Level 2 water restrictions, limiting lawn watering to two days per week. This measure aims to conserve water and reduce potential fire hazards during the dry season.
Designated Watering Days
Watering schedules are determined by the last two digits of residents’ addresses:
- Addresses ending in 00–20: Sundays and Thursdays
- Addresses ending in 21–50: Mondays and Fridays
- Addresses ending in 51–99: Tuesdays and Saturdays
Watering is prohibited between noon and 6 p.m. from May through September. Flowers, shrubs, and trees may be watered any day, except during these restricted hours.
Additional Restrictions
Residents are advised not to water lawns when wind speeds exceed 10 mph. Additionally, planting new lawns over 2,500 square feet is not permitted during this period.
Community Cooperation
The city urges all residents to adhere to these guidelines to help conserve water and minimize fire risks. For more information, contact the city’s water department at 719-687-9246.
